Omni is a self-custodial platform deployed on Arbitrum.
To create a portfolio and trade, you connect your own EVM-compatible crypto wallet. Variational never holds your keys or funds on your behalf.
When you click 'Connect Wallet', you'll see three options:
Rabby Wallet: Browser extension. Our recommended wallet; it switches to Arbitrum One automatically and previews each signature clearly.
MetaMask: Browser extension. Make sure it's set to the Arbitrum One network.
WalletConnect: Scan the QR code to connect a mobile or hardware wallet that supports WalletConnect.
Requirements
Whichever wallet you use, it must:
Support Arbitrum One network
Allow for holding USDC on Arbitrum One (your trading collateral)
You do not need ETH in your wallet. Omni is fully gasless, so there are no network fees to connect, deposit, or trade.
Connecting A Wallet
Go to Omni, click Connect Wallet, and choose your wallet. You'll then be asked for a referral code and to accept the Terms of Use before your portfolio is created. See Creating an Account for the full walkthrough.
